Regional Mobilizer

JOB TYPE: Full-time – 40 hours/week

REPORTS TO: Director of Mobilization

PAY RATE: Salary Band TBD (support-raised position)

A Regional Mobilizer is responsible for the development and stewardship of Reaching & Teaching partnerships with like-minded churches, individuals, and organizations in their assigned region. The Mobilizer is responsible to cast vision for church-centered missions and helps to assess likemindedness in those who want to partner with Reaching & Teaching, whether through Long-term opportunities, Global Training, the Practicum, or the Global Internship. The ideal candidate will be a mature disciple of Jesus Christ, embrace RTIM’s ministry DNA, be a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and a good administrator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate and steward relationships with likeminded individuals, churches, seminaries, and organizations in the assigned region
  • Help discern likemindedness of individuals and churches who are interested in Reaching & Teaching
  • Walk with long-term prospects to answer questions and work alongside their sending church to discern if and when they should apply for long-term work
  • Raise awareness about opportunities on the field for more workers
  • Work alongside the Long-term team to offer initial vetting of applicants
  • Represent Reaching & Teaching at 4-6 major conferences and events around the country
  • Identify regional events to attend to build relationships with pastors and potential missionaries
  • Help host Reaching & Teaching Preview Days in assigned region
  • Participate in Practicum Orientation
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Employee shall maintain membership in a local church with beliefs that RTIM determines to be consistent with RTIM’s statements of faith
    • Employee shall perform all duties consistent with RTIM’s theological beliefs and standards as reflected in its statements of faith
    • Employee shall annually affirm in writing and without reservation RTIM’s statements of faith
    • Self-motivated, disciplined, and personable
    • Missions or Ministry experience preferred
    • Works well in a virtual office environment
