Global Internship

Global Internship

Biblical Missions and the Local Church

The Global Internship is a 16-month Internship designed to help like-minded local churches raise up qualified missionaries who hold biblical convictions about the local church and missions and who can apply those convictions in cross-cultural contexts. The Internship is specifically for those who have graduated from college or university and are considering next steps in missions.

Our vision

Term 1 - Fall

The first four months (September - December) will be spent in the interns' own local churches reading foundational books on missions and the local church and raising support for the rest of the Internship. The Interns will be asked to write review papers and engage with RTIM Staff during this first term.

Our vision

Term 2 - Spring

In Term 2 (January - June), Interns will move to Portland, OR where they will become members of Hinson Baptist Church.  Interns will read and interact with multiple books and articles on ecclesiology and missiology as well as engage with the elders of Hinson on matters related to church ministry and missions sending. Interns will engage with international ministry in the city of Portland, putting into practice what they are learning.

Our vision

Term 3 - Fall

Term 3 (August - December) will be spent as a member of Erbil Baptist Church in Erbil, Iraq. Interns will continue to read important missions material and observe similarities and differences about church practice in a foreign context.  They will engage with other missionaries, see various missions strategies at play, and minister through evangelism and discipleship.
