Regional Leader | MENA

JOB TYPE: Full-time – 40 hours/week

REPORTS TO: Director of Long-term

PAY RATE: Salary Band TBD (support-raised position)

RTIM’s Regional Leader – MENA provides vision, direction, and oversight for a designated region of RTIM’s long-term global work.

    • The Regional Leader will serve under the supervision of the Long-term Director
    • The Regional Leader will serve on the global leadership team

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To provide servant leadership for the missionaries and teams in the region
    • To facilitate and guide ministry vision and development in the field according to the RTIM’s vision and mission
    • To give encouragement, direction, and support to team members, empowering them to fulfill their ministry
      • Interacting regularly with each direct report about ministry progress, staying current with ministries in the region through periodic on-site visits and other forms of communication
    • To interview and approve new Long-Term Workers for region
    • To interact with sending churches of potential missionaries to vet candidates
    • To regularly interact with sending churches to ensure fruitful and smooth partnership between RTIM and sending church in the care and support of Workers.
    • To give encouragement, direction, support, coaching, and a sounding board for strategy
    • To help implement and ensure compliance with RTIM policies
    • To review quarterly reports
    • To inform appropriate staff of issues and situations needing attention and to recommend action steps
    • To work with Operations team members to meet the needs for new field missionary personnel
    • To identify, mentor, and develop leaders on the field
    • To help facilitate communication, partnership, and coordination of ministry with other RTIM departments and regions
    • To intentionally encourage a sense of community and care among field missionaries
    • To facilitate regular regional meetings with entire regional team
    • To oversee regional Member Care personnel to help missionaries and teams
    • To partner with the President in identifying and vetting strategic opportunities
    • Attendance at regularly scheduled Global Team meetings, Strategy meetings, Roundtables, Global Leadership Team Meetings, and Long-Term Meetings.
